Regular Meeting - May 8, 1957 <br />The Clerk .read a letter from Wood Lake News thanking the <br />V:1.11age for the job of printing the Building Code which has now <br />bean completed and delivered to the Clerk. <br />The Clerk read a letter <br />Street requesting that his name be <br />for an on-sale liquor license 9.f, <br />is available within the Village. <br />from Richard Jacobsen of 3351. Rice <br />placed on file as an applicant <br />as and when another such license <br />The Clerk reported to the Council as to the financial con- <br />dition of the Village stating that as of May 8, 1957 the Village has <br />a cash balance of $10,510.1}0. <br />Tlae Mayor announced that he had appointed a Citizens Com- <br />mittee to consider the request for annexation of a certain part of <br />White Bear Township to the Village. The members named on this commit- <br />tee were: George Anderson, Chairman; Phil Ducharme, Clarence Be11, <br />Barry LaTourneau and Md Gagne. The Mayor reported that this committee <br />ha.d not met yet but would schedule a meeting sometime after certa9.n <br />litigation betroreen Wh1_te Bear Township and the City of White Bear has <br />been completed. <br />The Clerk reported a complaint .from the residents of Fl.i <br />Road with reference to dust. <br />The Clerk stated that he has .received numerous complaints <br />about dogs and that some people have expressed a desire to keep the <br />leash restriction of dogs on all year round. After discussion by <br />the Council members and after hearing from all of the citizens who <br />wore present at the meeting, it was decided that th.e special order <br />requ firing dogs to be leashed until June lst be permitted to expire <br />on that date. <br />The Mayor reported. that he had received some complaints re- <br />garding drainage on Flower Street.
