Regular Meeting - May 8, 1957 The Clerk .read a letter from Wood Lake News thanking the V:1.11age for the job of printing the Building Code which has now bean completed and delivered to the Clerk. The Clerk read a letter Street requesting that his name be for an on-sale liquor license 9.f, is available within the Village. from Richard Jacobsen of 3351. Rice placed on file as an applicant as and when another such license The Clerk reported to the Council as to the financial con- dition of the Village stating that as of May 8, 1957 the Village has a cash balance of $10,510.1}0. Tlae Mayor announced that he had appointed a Citizens Com- mittee to consider the request for annexation of a certain part of White Bear Township to the Village. The members named on this commit- tee were: George Anderson, Chairman; Phil Ducharme, Clarence Be11, Barry LaTourneau and Md Gagne. The Mayor reported that this committee ha.d not met yet but would schedule a meeting sometime after certa9.n litigation betroreen Wh1_te Bear Township and the City of White Bear has been completed. The Clerk reported a complaint .from the residents of Fl.i Road with reference to dust. The Clerk stated that he has .received numerous complaints about dogs and that some people have expressed a desire to keep the leash restriction of dogs on all year round. After discussion by the Council members and after hearing from all of the citizens who wore present at the meeting, it was decided that th.e special order requ firing dogs to be leashed until June lst be permitted to expire on that date. The Mayor reported. that he had received some complaints re- garding drainage on Flower Street. This matter was discussed and laid over.
