<br />The Clerk read a letter from Robert Londin in which he recommended
<br />Thomas Dubey for appointment to the vacant position of Director of Civilian De-
<br />fense, This letter was received and placed on file,
<br />The Clerk read a letter from the County Auditor concerning the estab-
<br />lishment of voting precincts. The Village Attorney explained that even though the
<br />number of voters in Little Canada slightly exceeds 700, it is not: necessary to
<br />set up another precinct at this time,
<br />The Clerk read a Letter from Harry Bronson, County Engineer, in which
<br />Mr, Bronson explained certain restrictions in the law that he must comply with
<br />as to the sale of blacktop. The letter went on to explain that the County Engi-
<br />neer's departm6nt is anxious and willing to provide service to the municipalities
<br />in Ramsey County and that there is no basis in fact for rumors to the contrary,
<br />The letter was placed on file,
<br />The Clerk read a letter from Stafford Ring, State Auditor, explaining
<br />the distribution of cigaret and liquor tax proceeds, The letter was received and
<br />placed on file.
