Special Meeting - August 20, 1958 <br />renumbered as Trunk Highway Number 35 within the corporate limits <br />of the said Village of Little Canada; and <br />"WHEREAS the Commissioner of Highways desires in the interest <br />of public safety that all parking of vehicles on said trunk high- <br />way be parallel with the curb and at least 20 feet from any cross- <br />walk. <br />"NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED that said Village of Little Canada <br />does hereby agree and covenant that. it will never permit or suffer, <br />within Its corporate limits, any encroachment of any kind whatso- <br />ever, including curb gas pumps and gas stations, billboards or <br />other structures of any kind whatsoever, upon the right of way of <br />'T'runk Tlighway Number 390 renumbered as Trurrk Highway Number 35 and <br />to the above end said Village of Little Canada hereby agrees that <br />it wi11 never issue any license, permit, or grant, or give any <br />leave or liberty or any other consent of whatever form for the <br />construction or maintenance of any encroachment whatsoever, in- <br />cluding curb gas pumps and gas stations, b5.11boards or other struc- <br />tures of any kind whatsoever, upon said right of way; and that said <br />Village of. Little Canada will cooperate insofar as possible to elimi- <br />nate existing encroachments constituting traffic hazards and will <br />further tales any necessary action to eliminate any encroachment that <br />may hereafter exist on said trunk highway right of way; and <br />"HE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Village of Little Canada does <br />hereby agree to require the parking of all vehicles on said trunk <br />highway to be parallel with the curb and at least twenty (20) feet <br />from any crosswalks on all public streets intersecting said trunk <br />highway within the corporate limits of said Village of Little Canada." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />9:40 P.M. <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Melancon, the meeting adjourned at <br />At~2esf.: <br />I' <br />~i 1 r,`~ R~~,'1 c~~,~i,t,~cti~( <br />" Mayor <br />- 3 - <br />
