MINUTES OF THE MELTING <br />OF Tlili: VILLAGE COUNCIL OP THE <br />VILLAGE' OF LTT'I'LE CANAllA. <br />~** <br />The regular meeting of the Council of the Village of Little Canada was <br />held at the Little Canada Fire Ball on Wednesday, llecember 10, 1958, at 7;30 P,M, <br />'fhe following Council members were present; <br />Louis W. Melancon, Mayor; Roy P. Nadeau, Clerk; <br />Edward It, Loeffaer, Carl. Spooner, John M. Vitale, <br />Trustees. <br />Also present were T'red P. Memmer, V111age Attorney; Oscar F. Londin, Building Inspec- <br />tor; Walter Coenen, Treasurer; and Louis Jespersen, Road Superintendent, <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of November 12, 1958 were approved as read, <br />Mr. Gilbertson recidiug on Lakeshore Avenue, together with three other <br />neighbors, appeared before the Council and requested that a warming house of some <br />kind be erected on Savage Lake to provide a place whare the children can put their <br />skates on. After some discussion the Cleric read a letter i'rom Plmmett Williams, the <br />School Superintendent, advising the Village Council that skating rinks on school <br />growtds in the Village of Roseville are being constructed and maintained by t:he <br />Village, and not by the school district. 'the letter went on to say that if the <br />Village of Little Canada wished to construct and maintain skating rinks on any district <br />school grounds in the Village of Little Canada, the Council was welcome to do so, <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Spooner, it was <br />°RESOLVEll, Tha~C the sum of $100,00 be, and is hereby <br />authorized for the purpose of obtaining and erecting a small <br />building to be used as a warming house on Savage Lake for <br />skater>, and the Clerlc is authorized to make the necessary <br />arrangements," <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />The Clerlc brought up the matter of Village payment for use of the Fire <br />Hall on the basis of $300.00 per year, <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Loeffler, 1t was <br />"RESOLVEll, That the sum of $300,00 be, and is hereby <br />authorized i3or payment to the Little Canada Volunteer <br />Fire Department as annual custodian payment for use of the <br />Fire Ball for Village purposes, " <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />
