Melancon, Mayor; }yalter F. Coenen, C7.erlc; <br />Carl Spooner, John M. Vitale, Trustees. <br />Edward It. l,oeff7.er, Trustee was absent. Also present were Frederick. P. Memmox•, <br />Vi1lag~e Attorney; Louis Jespcrsen, Road Super:iutendent; and Oscar Fl Londin, Building <br />Inspector. <br />Minutes oi' the x•eg~ular meeting of February 11, 1.959 and the special <br />meeting of 1?ebruary 25, 1959 were approved as read, <br />Nor. Roth appeared with Mr. Oscar Londin, Buiadi.ng Inspector, for i:kxe <br />purpose of requesting permission to erect two homes on property on I,alce Gervais, which <br />he had purchased from John E. Blomquist. He had originally purchased one lot of <br />about three-quarters o:L' an acre in size. Fie has now purchased additional. property <br />so that his toi:al ownership consists of approximately one and oue~-quarter acre. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Spooner, it was <br />"RESOLVED, 'that permission be and is hereby granted <br />to Nir. Roth, to constzuct two homes rnx the site which is <br />the southern portion of the point of Land on the west side <br />o:f Lalce Gex•vais, :E'ronting• on C{eller Parkway." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />'rhe resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. Bernard Kane o:t 231 Demont Street, together with a neighbor, Nir. <br />Swan Erickson, appeared before the Council. to inyui.z•e about the grade o% Demont <br />Stroet. ISe was advised that Demont Street i.s a County Road, and that :if any <br />alteration i.n grade was contempl.ai;ed, it would be something the County could explain <br />to Ixi.rn. It was suggested by one of the Councilmen that Mr. Hemmer, Village Attoxney <br />contact tkxe State ICighway Department and find out; i:f: i;here will be a change in grade <br />due to the construction o:f the Interstate Highway. <br />Mr. L7l.lson, together witix N[r. Don Carle, Village l:ngi.neer, appeared <br />be:f.ore tho Council to explain the estimated costs of road work to be done in LUi.lson`s <br />plat, South of. Demont Strce~t, and east of the new highway service road. There was <br />considerable discussion about how Morrison Sircet shou7.d be constructed, since it~is <br />a border street on the Wilson Plat. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Spooner, it was <br />°IESOLVED, 'that Mr. Nilson be required to construct a <br />full.-width strut along Morrison Street, as shown on his <br />plat, fx•om Demont, south Co Sextant, anti that the surlacd: be <br />2 i.uches of bii;uminous stabilization instead of 4 inches." <br />A.ycs - 4 Nays - 0 <br />'l'ho resolution was adopted. <br />
