Special Meeting - June 24, 1959 <br />of R.C.M.O.A, representatives for establishing a uniform <br />Burning ordinance." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays -- 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />The Clerk read a letter received fr on the Village Attorney, calling the <br />Council's attention to the fact that the proposed use oP the name Sunset Drive <br />for the West Service Lane of the new Highway #390, would simply cause confusion, <br />because there are already two streets with similar names in Ramsey County; one <br />Sunset Land and one Sunset Drive, This would simply add a new one. John Vitale, <br />Trustee, asked permission to contact the people concerned, and to ask them to <br />select another name. <br />The Mayor read a letter he had received from the State Aealth Department <br />with reference to the matter of sewage being discharged into the right-of-way at <br />Highway #36 and Arcade Street. The Clerk then read a letter received from the <br />Village Engineer, reporting on his investigation of this sewage problem. The <br />Village Engineer recommended that the pipe or pipes discharging at the surface be <br />sealed off with concrete, and then it will become apparent where the trouble is, <br />since ®Very resident in the area disclaims any connection with this pigs. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that the Village Engineer be and is hereby <br />instructed to undertake the necessary work to seal off the pipe <br />or pipes discharging Into the Highway #36 right-of-way near <br />Arcade Street, so as to stop any further discharge on to the <br />surfacb." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Coenen, the meeting adjourned at <br />8:30 p.m. <br />Respectf~ully /s1/`gpmitted, I/~ r <br />Attest: Clerk <br />rl ~-; <br />~,, <br />Mayor <br />- 2 ° <br />
