MINt1TES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF <br />THE VILLAGE OF LITTLE CANADA <br />~ ~ x. <br />Pursuant to call, a special meeting of the Council of the Village of <br />Little Canada was held on Monday, July 20, 1959, at 6:00 p:m. at the Fire Hall at <br />440 E, Little Canada Road. The following Council. Members were present; <br />Louis W, Melancon, Mayor; Walter F. Coenen, Clerk <br />Edward R. Loeffler, Carl Spooner and John R5. Vitale, <br />Trustees. <br />Also present; Frederick P. Memmer, Village Attorney, <br />The Village Attorney presented to the Council, the report of the Village <br />Engineer, concerning the,igxprovement of County Road B-2 from Rice Street to a point <br />1,200 feet East of Rice Street. He pointed out that the Sclxool Board of District <br />No. 623, held a hearing concerning this matter on July 13, 1959 at which time the <br />School Board requested that the street construction specifications be raised from a <br />four (4) inch stabilized base to a ten (.10) inch stabilized base. Mr. Memmer then <br />presented a resolution by the School Board to the effect that the School District would <br />pay up to $4;300.00 for its share of this improvement. The Engineer requested in his <br />report, that the Village Council authorize the increased specifications for that por- <br />tion of the improvement between Rice Street and a point 600 feet East of Rice Street, <br />with the understanding that the most Easterly 600 feet of the improvement consist oP <br />a four (4) inch stabilized base only, in addition to the grading. The Engineer's <br />report also pointed out that the construction of a coixnecting link between Park Street <br />as it eXi.Sts in the Terrace Heights Trailer Park, and County Road B-2 could be built <br />by adding the cost thereof to the bid already received from Ray Sina Company, the <br />low bidder, He also reported that Mr. Sina is willing to accept this and add it to <br />the contract as a work order, at the same unit prices as he had offered in his original <br />bid, <br />Upon motion by Loeffler, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that the Village increase the amount of work <br />to be done on the County Road B-2 Improvement order so that <br />the West 600 feet of said improvement be built up to a ten (10) <br />inch stabilized base with mat, and that the easterly 600 feet <br />be graded and surfaced with a four (4) inch stabilized base and <br />no mat; and also that that part of Part. Street be constructed <br />which would connect Terrace Heights Trailer Park with County <br />Road B-2, so that surface drainage from the Trailer Park will <br />no longer flow on to the Auge property, and that said street <br />construction consist of the necessary grading and four (4) inch <br />stabilized base, without a mat; and further with the understand- <br />ing that this additional work, when added to the original im- <br />provement, for wlxich bids were let, shall not exceed $9,300.00." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted, <br />
