MINUPES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE <br />VTLLAGE OF LITTLE CANADA <br />~ ~r ~r <br />The regular meeting of the Council of the Village of Little Canada was <br />held at the Little Canada Fire Hall on Wednesday, February 10, 1960, at 7:30 p.m. <br />The following Council members were present: <br />Louis W. Melancon, Walter Coenen, John Vitale, <br />Carl Spooner, Edward Loeffler; also present was <br />Richard Bos&. <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting and the special meeting of February 3, <br />1960, were read and approved. <br />Mr. Pat Lynch of 1845 City Heights Drive, Maplewood, appeared before the <br />Council and asked permission to rezone from residential to commercial the <br />property located on Rice Street south of County-Road "C", this is the second <br />house south of the bakery and Mr. Lynch indicated that he wishes to establish <br />a barber shop on this premises. He was instructed to contact the Village <br />Attorney. <br />The Clerk read a letter received from Pascal D. Vitale asking for an <br />off-sale liquor license. He was informed that the Council had adopted a <br />resolution in January, 1957, limiting the number of off-sale liquor licenses <br />in the Village of Little Canada to two. <br />file. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Malancon, the letter was placed on <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The Clerk read a letter from Lucille Wenker requesting rezoning of <br />property on Rice Street immediately north of the Soo Line Railway viaduct. <br />Upon motion by Coenen, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />RESOLVED, that the Petition of Mrs. Wenker requesting that <br />Block 11, Rice Street Motor Line Addition be rezoned from residential <br />to commercial be set for hearing on Wednesday, February 24, 1860, at <br />7:30 P.M. and the Clerk post notice of said hearing as required by <br />ordinance. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />Mr. Dolan, from the office of Milner Carley, Village Engineer, presented <br />a State Highway Department preliminary plan for that portion of Highway 393 <br />from Highway 35E eastward and southward to the point of intersection with <br />Highway 36 northeast of North St. Paul. It was agreed that these plans willbe <br />held for further study. <br />
