~.q w vr.. r.. • • .l • • • .. <br />~~ Il4INUTE"a OF 'TI3E REGULAR IuiEE'TING <br />OF TIDE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF `THE <br />VILLAGE OF LITTLE CArlTADA <br />* ~ ~ <br />The regular meeting of the Council of the Village of Little Canada, <br />was held at the Little Canada fire Ball on Wednesday, January 11, 1961 at 7s30 p. m. <br />The following Council Members were presents <br />Louis W. Ntelancon, Mayor; Walter F. Coanen, Clerk; <br />and Card Spooner, Trustee. <br />John M. Vitale and Edward Loeffler, Trustees, were absent. <br />Also present were Oscar F. Londin, Building Inspector, Frederick P. <br />Memmer, Village Attorney, and Richard Boss, Treasurer. <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting• of Decembex 14th, 1960 were read and <br />approved. <br />The Clerk read a letter from Donald Carley, concerning the unpaid balance <br />of the contract for Flower Street, which is still owing to the Ray Sina Company. <br />Upon motion by Il~el.ancon, seconded by Coenen, i.t was <br />"RESOLVES, that the Clerk and `Treasurer be and are <br />hereby directed to ply to the Ray Sina Company, the sum <br />of X33,806.95 on account for the street construction on <br />County Road B-2 (Flower Street East of Rice Street, _ <br />leaving an unpaid balance of $3500.00, to be held by the <br />Village until one year after the date the work was com- <br />pleted." <br />.Byes - 3 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br /> <br />Intr. A4ermn~r, the Village Attorney explained the correspondence he has <br />had vrith the Soo Line Railroad Co., with reference to a complaint by Ivtr. Jolu1 Smith, <br />about noise and vibration which he attributes to the spur track. The last letter from <br />the Soo Lixie indicates that they do not wish to remove the spur track because someone <br />is negotiatinbr the purchase of the property and they would require the track to remain <br />in service. <br />The Village Attorney stated that he had received a complaint from the <br />occupant of a house at 17 t^7. County Road C, vrhich is omied by 1vIr. Phelps, and also <br />that IVIr, v~iilliams, "superintendent of the Roseville School district had called the <br />Village Attorney, complaining about the problems which the school district has con- <br />cerning the care and treatment of the children of the f:~nily occupying this house. <br />It was agreed that It7r. Phelps would be asked to attend a Special <br />Meeting on Friday, January 27th, for thehpurpose of stating vrhat reasons he has, if <br />any, wl~,y the house should not be condemned as recommended by -the Building Inspector. <br />The Clerkxead a report of 'the Sheriffs Department which was received anal <br />placed on file. <br />The Clerlc x•eviewed. the report of the Village Chief of Police for the <br />A+ionth of December.
