Mr, M. Frattalone, Health Officer for the Village, reported on the condition <br />of the house and occupants at Rice Street and North Owasso Boulevard. `Phe house <br />has been cleaned up and the former occupants have moved out so that the house is <br />now in good condition for use by responsible tenants. <br />Mr. Frattalone also reported on the condition of the shack on Greenbrier <br />Street north o£ LaBore Road, which is oecuppied by Art Mischuk and another <br />pensioner. Both of these men have reached a point in age and declining physical <br />condition which is undoubtedly the cause of the unhealthful situation prevailing <br />in this shack they use as a home. <br />Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Coenen, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that the Village Attorney be and is hereby instructed <br />to call this matter to the attention of the County Welfare Board <br />and Commissioner Roy Nadeau for the purpose of taking steps to <br />place these two men in the County Nursing Home." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. Frattalone, in his eapaoity as Police Officer of the Village, raised <br />the question about peddlers and solicitors in the Village with particular <br />reference to magazine agentso He stated that some young women have been going <br />around the Village seeking subscriptions for magazines and misrepresenting <br />themselves. <br />Upon motion by Coenen, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that the Village Attorney be and is hereby instructed <br />to draft an ordinance to control peddlers and solicitors within <br />the Village and to present said ordinance at the next meeting." <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />The Clerk notified the Council that the next regular Village election will <br />be held on December 5th. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Coenen, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that Mayor Melancon be designated as a fudge of the <br />election." <br />Ayes-¢ Nays-0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by Coenen, meeting adjourned at 8s10 P.M. <br />Attests <br />Respegtfull submi , <br />~j ~ /~ <br />Clerk <br />Mayor <br />
