I;2IPTU'.PES OP TIIl~, SPhCIAL P'pEETING OP TIIE VIT,LAG~3 COUfi~CIL OI' VILLAGE OP LI'i''PLL+'+' C.LiDTADA A Special Tleeting of the Council of the Village of Little Canada was held on Tuesday I'ebruary 6~h, 1)62 at ']c30 P.T,t. pursuant to call of the h4ayor, The follwoing member of the Comzcil were present: Carl Spooner,Priayor; 1'Jalter F. Coenen, Clerk; and Edward Loeffler and John Vitale, '1'rastees. The P:Iayor explained that he had called the meeting for the purpose of con- sidering bhe appointment of a Trustee to fill the vacancy caused by his election as P4ayor. Six persons had made application in. writing for this appointment, one such application vrhich was accompanied by a petition. These persons erere Lawrence Ducharme, Robert De:dace, P~4aurice Jespersen' Thomas Campanaro, Robert Menge and ivlichael Stsczynske. '1'he P,layor explained further that since this vacancy had to be filled by appointment and under law could not be submetted to a special election, that the situation eras beginning to threaten to become the source of division and animosity vrithin the Council and ;vas. also threatening to cause a serious cleavage into factional argument within the Village. IIe said that he felt the problem sould be resolved without further delay or procrastir~.ation. Por a considerable tune blre members of the Council discussed the various individuals and tried to resolve problems which were building up because ~bf the i.ntens~ty of efforts being drummed up by various`conteiiders. Upon motion b~~ Loeffler, seconded by Vitale, it was, RIi;SOLVEll, that Joseph A. hacker be, and is hereby, appointed as Trustee of the Village to fill the unexpired term of Carp Spooner. which terminates on llecember 31st, 1962. Ayes - ~. Nays - 0 The Resolution was adopted. Upon Il4otion by Coenen, seconded by Loeffler, the meeting adjourned at 9.3o P.Pr. ~~ a Clerk .Attests Idayor.
