MIN. REG MEETING <br />NOV 20 1972 <br />BUIDING <br />MR. ANDERSON <br />NORTH STAR Mr. Husnick appeared before the Council requesting <br />TRAILOR PARK permission to errect a lighted sign 10 x 240. This sign :pill <br />SIGN be a pernament sign that will replace the exsisting temporary sign. <br />There was some question concerning the present <br />temporary sign. The question in poit is since at the last <br />meeting a motion was adopted to grant permission for a temporary <br />sign for 90 days. Mr. Rudy rasied the question if Mr. Husnick <br />could errect the sign before the 90 day period is over. <br />It was the opinion of the attorney that Mr. Husnick <br />could errect the sign since it appears to be a pernament sign. <br />UPON THE MOTION OF MR. DE BACE AND SECONDER BY <br />MR. CHELEBCR, YT WAS RESOLVED THAT: <br />THE PROPOSED, NORTH STAR <br />TRAILOR PARK IDENTIFICATION <br />SIGN ( 10 x 240 )( lighted) <br />IS HEREBY APPROVED, <br />AYES: MESSRS: CHLEBECK, DE BACE, ANDERSON, MAKEEFF <br />NAYES: MR. RUDY <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTED. <br />GLASSRUD: Mr. Clasrud appeared before the Council again stating <br />BUILDING his opinion that the building in question does meet the code. <br />CODE: In his opening remarks he stated that the U B C is <br />not the same in all areas. He also remarked that the question <br />regarding the spans is the opinion o£ two different Engineers. <br />Mr. Parks explained that the opinion Of Mr. Glasrud's <br />attorney is that the building does meet the code because in <br />the 1964 building code states that a 2hour fire rating is all <br />that is necessary between walls. <br />Mr. Anderson was of the opinion that a 3hour rating is <br />nesessary because of the garage below, and the code in his <br />opinion stipulates a 3 hour rating. <br />The mayor stated that he has recieved a testing report <br />concerning the planks and spans and will xefer° them to the <br />State for an interpretation. <br />The mayor Further stated he would call a special <br />meeting to settle the matter. <br />page 8 <br />
