The project includes the reconstruction of <br />Condit Street from South Owasso Boulevard to Nadeau Road as a 24-foot wide urban section. <br />Eight (8) bids were received from the following companies: <br />Corporation Base Bid Alternate #1 Total Bid <br />Tower Asphalt, Inc. $236,585.16 $ 9,975.00 $246,560.16 <br />T. Alternate Number 1 that was bid <br />includes the removal and replacement of 190-feet of sanitary sewer on Condit Street that has <br />significant root growth and infiltration. Staff has determined that the areas of infiltration should <br />be corrected, but areas of root growth will not be completed. <br />The engineer's estimate completed at the end of plan and specification preparation estimated <br />the construction cost at $301,000.00. Based on the bids received, Tower Asphalt, Inc. is the <br />low bidder regardless of the combination of base bid and alternates. The low bid received, <br />based on the engineer's estimate, appears to be competitive and the bids have been reviewed <br />for errors and/or omissions.
