MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 14, 2008 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of <br />August, 2008 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Vice Chair Tom Duray called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Jon Hall <br />Mr. Jeff Helmeke <br />Mr. Chuck Pechmann <br />Ms. Katie Socha <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. Vanessa VanAlstine, Cable TV <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />MINUTES Hall recommended approval of the July 10, 2008 minutes as submitted. <br />Motion seconded by Helmeke. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />TEXT The City Planner presented a Text Amendment to the Zoning Code <br />AMENDMENT- relative to the regulation of the number of storage containers allowed to be <br />STORAGE stored outdoors by Conditional Use Permit in the I-1 Zoning District. The <br />CONTAINERS Planner noted that the City recently adopted regulations for outdoor storage <br />in the I-1 District. One of the conditions was that properties were limited to <br />a maximum of four storage containers. At the time that this condition was <br />adopted, it was felt that the number four was a good place to start. <br />The Planner reported that On-Site Air Temp made application for a <br />Conditional Use Permit to allow outdoor storage on their site at 53 <br />Woodlyn as well as a Variance to allow them to have up to 11 storage <br />containers. The Council approved the CUP, but tabled action on the <br />Variance pending further study of the issue. The Planner noted that the <br />
