1003: 'DEFINITIONS '' <br />1003.010. `DEFINITIONS. `For the purpose of this Ordinance, certain words and <br />terms are'hereby defined asset forth in the subdivisions which follow: " <br />A. ADMINISTRATOR. The City Administrator of the City of Little Canada. <br />ALLEY. A public or'private :right-of--way primarily designed to serve as secondary <br />access to the side or rear of those properties whose principal frontage is on a street. <br />APPLICANT. The owner of land proposed to be subdivided or his representative. <br />B. BLOCK. An area of land within a subdivision that is entirely bounded by streets, or by <br />streets and the entire boundary or boundaries of the subdivision, or a combination of the <br />.above with a river or lake. <br />BOULEVARD. The portion of the street right-of--way between the curb line. and the <br />property line. <br />BOUNDARY LINES. .Lines indicating the bounds or limits. of any tract or parcel of <br />land. <br />BUILDING. Any structure built for the support, shelter, or enclosure of `persons, <br />animals, chattels, or movable property of any kind. <br />BUILDING LINE. Means the 'line beyond which property owners or:others'have no <br />legal or vested right to extend a`building or any part thereof without special permission <br />and'approval of the proper authorities. <br />C. CITY, The City of Little Canada.. <br />CITY COUNCIL. The governing body of the City'of Little Canada. <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. The group bf maps,' charts and texts that make up the <br />comprehensive long-range plan of the City.` <br />CONTOUR MAP. A map on which irregularities of land surface are shown by lines <br />connecting points of equal elevations. Contour .interval is the vertical height between <br />contour lines. <br />D. DESIGN STANDARDS. The specifications to land owners or subdividers' for the <br />preparation 'of plats, :both preliminary and final, indicating among other things, the <br />optimum, minimum or maximum dimensions of such items' as rights-of--way, blocks, <br />easements and lots. <br />Little Canada Subdivision Ordinance Definitions <br />1003-1 <br />5 <br />
