~~.r-~ioc ~..assoa.aT~s TAUt NOAflI Memo TO: Joel Hanson, Little Canada City Administrator Honorable Mayor and City Council Members FROM: Lee Elfering, City Engineer DATE: September 18, 2008 RE: Declaration of Costs Beam Avenue, Waterworks Storm Pipe, Condit Street Attached are the resolutions declaring the costs to be assessed for the three projects listed above. A short description of each project is as follows: Beam Avenue This project is the City of Little Canada's portion of the City of Mapiewood's Kohlman Lane project that included the reconstruction and addition of watermain on the portion of Beam Avenue in the City of Little Canada. The attached resolution does not have dollar amounts listed, but Maplewood staff has indicated that they will provide the final project costs prior to the meeting and we will provide the completed resolution as an addition to the agenda. Waterworks Storm Pipe This project involves the replacement of a failed section of storm sewer under the City trail on the St. Paul Water Works right-of-way between South Owasso Blvd. and Country Drive. The numbers in the resolution are based on the engineers estimate and revised numbers will be added when bids are received on September 26, 2008. Condit Street This project consists of the reconstruction of Condit Street from South Owasso Boulevard to Nadeau Road. The costs are based on the bids received in August. The project is anticipated to begin the week of the 22"d and will be completed in early November. At this time we would request that the City Council approve the attached resolutions and order preparation of fnal assessments.
