MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 12, 2020 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was convened on the 12th day of November, 2020 in the Council Chambers of the <br />City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. and the following members of the City <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Keis, Council Members Montour, McGraw, Fischer and Torkelson. <br />Absent: None. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Finance Director Brenda Malinowski, Community Development Director <br />Coffin Wendell and City Clerk Heidi Heller. <br />This meeting was held in person and virtually. In accordance with the requirements of Minn. <br />Stat. Section 13D.021, the City Administrator has determined that an in person meeting is not <br />practical or prudent because of a health pandemic or an emergency declared under Chapter 12 <br />of the Minnesota Statutes. Because of the health pandemic and emergency declaration, it has <br />been determined that attendance at the regular meeting location by elected officials and <br />members of the public is not feasible. Therefore, some or all of the City Council members may <br />be participating by telephone or other electronic means. This meeting will be recorded in its <br />entirety. <br />Members of the public are able to monitor the meeting on the CTV North Suburbs website (live <br />stream) or use the meeting linkprovided on the city website prior to the meeting. <br />CANVASS NOVEMBER 3, 2020 GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS <br />Keis opened the meeting of the Little Canada Canvassing Board. The City Clerk presented the <br />Council with the November 3, 2020 State General Election results. She noted that 2,348 <br />residents voted on Election Day and an additional 3,680 residents voted before November 3, <br />either by Absentee Ballot or Early Voting. She stated that turnout was very good at 84.4%, and <br />the large increase in the number of residents voting before the election is expected to continue. <br />She stated that everything went very smooth on Election Day and thanked the City's Election <br />Judges for their service to the City in conducting the election. <br />Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2020-11-149 — ACCEPTING THE ABSTRACT OF <br />VOTES CAST IN LITTLE CANADA FOR THE NOVEMBER 3, 2020 STATE <br />GENERAL ELECTIONAS PRESENTED <br />
