WORKSHOP MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 10, 2021 <br />Fischer asked if any priorities under the key initiatives have fallen behind. The City <br />Adm;n;strator stated that under creating operational efficiency, nothing has fallen behind b„ t <br />staff definitely still has work to do even though a lot of work has been done already. He stated <br />that he is reviewing staff needs and organizational structuring as there are position openings. <br />The City Administrator stated that items in Enhancing and Empowering the Community are <br />being worked on, and a version of the newsletter in Spanish is now available online. Torkelson <br />would like to see Council and staff do training on equity and inclusion, possibly before some of <br />the bigger initiatives are decided on. After discussion, there was a consensus that staff training <br />and facilitated discussions with elected officials regarding equity and inclusion is a tool to help <br />us be more successful in implementing the City's strategic plan. <br />The City Administrator stated that the Maximizing our Assets to Catalyze Development is the <br />most challenging. Heineman provided updates on current redevelopment areas and provided a <br />summary of City Council responses to their current priorities.
