MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 11, 2021 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was convened on the 11 th day of August, 2021 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the City <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Keis, Council Members McGraw, Fischer, Torkelson and Miller. <br />Absent: None. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Chris Heineman, Public Works Director Bill Dircks, Parks <br />& Rec/Community Services Manager Bryce Shearen, Finance Director Brenda Malinowski and <br />City Clerk/HR Manager Heidi Heller. <br />MINUTES <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2021-8-93 — APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE JULY 28, 2021 <br />REGULAR MEETING AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />McGraw congratulated Midwest Gymnastics for their successful gymnast, Suni Lee, who won <br />medals at the Olympics. <br />Keis reported that Canadian Days last weekend was a success and a lot of fun. <br />Torkelson thanked everyone who hosted and attended parties for Night to Unite, and thanked the <br />Little Canada Fire Department and Ramsey County Sheriff's Department for visiting parties around <br />the city. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />None. <br />PRESENTATION BY LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS — ROSEVILLE AREA: STUDY ON <br />EQUAL REPRESENTATION OF APPOINTED CITY BOARDS & COMMISSIONS <br />Rita Mills, League of Women Voters -Roseville Area member, explained that the LWV sent out 116 <br />surveys to current and some former city -appointed commissioners with response rates varying from <br />19% to 73% across the cities of Falcon Heights, Little Canada, Maplewood and Roseville. She <br />noted that Lauderdale is also in their area but they current have no active commissions. She <br />
