Kasma, P.E., City Engineer <br /> <br />DATE: May 4, 2020 <br /> <br />RE: Little Canada Road Streetscape Improvements <br /> <br /> <br />ACTION TO BE CONSIDERED: <br />Motion to approve the attached Partial Pay Estimate No. 1 to Custom Builders, Inc. in the <br />amount of $167,683.74. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The total amount earned by the Contractor on this partial pay request is $176,509.20. <br />Withholding a 5% retainage, the amount due is $167,683.74. <br /> <br />Along with Partial Pay Estimate No.1 is Change Order No.1 in the amount of $5,478.67 for <br />construction of metal conduit crossings. These crossings will allow for future lighting of trees in <br />the planting areas. 60% of this work is complete and included in Partial Pay Estimate No. 1. <br /> <br />SOURCE OF FUNDS: <br />The improvements will be funded through TIF District 3-2 ($500,000) and the Infrastructure <br />Capital Improvement Fund, as per the City’s approved CIP. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve payment in the amount of $167,683.74. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Partial Pay Estimate No. 1
