<br />o Bring in developers to review market demand and their suggestions for <br />development <br /> Staff has met with brokers and developers related to the Heinel property and <br />the Sculley property over the past 6-months. Staff is also in communication <br />with a broker about the vacant city-owned parcel between US Bank and <br />Culvers and an appraisal has been ordered. Additional opportunities will <br />be addressed on a case by case basis. Staff has also initiated conversations <br />with ULI-MN staff about conducting a Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) <br />and with Maxfield Research about conducting a housing study for the city. <br /> <br />4) Mandating Action and Accountability <br />o Set up calendar of actions (In Progress) <br />o Set calendar for special City Council meetings <br /> Regular City Council workshops have been scheduled for the first <br />Wednesday of each month. Additional special City Council meetings can <br />be scheduled based on specific projects or initiatives that warrant additional <br />time. One possible example includes a Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) for <br />a specific corridor or development/redevelopment area in Little Canada. <br />o ID Format for tracking progress (Zoning Code) <br /> Comprehensive Plan Progress <br />• The 2040 Comprehensive Plan is in the final stages of completion. <br />City staff and Planning Consultant, Bill Weber, have worked on <br />the Plan since 2017 and is currently being reviewed by the <br />Metropolitan Council. After review and deemed complete, the Plan <br />will then be authorized by the Met Council for the City to put the <br />Plan into place and adopt the final Plan. <br /> Zoning Code Update Progress <br />• The Zoning Code Update is in process beginning with select parts <br />of the code for the sections have been identified to updated in the <br />first phase. Then following the adoption of the 2040 Comp Plan, <br />Phase 2 will commence.
