Kasma, P.E., City Engineer <br /> <br />DATE: June 10, 2020 <br /> <br />RE: Little Canada Road Streetscape Improvements <br /> <br /> <br />ACTION TO BE CONSIDERED: <br />Motion to approve Change Order No. 1 and Partial Pay Estimate No. 2 to Custom Builders, Inc. <br />in the amount of $221,959.68. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The total amount earned by the Contractor to date is $410,150.97. The City has paid <br />$167,683.74 to date. Withholding a 5% retainage, the amount due is $221,959.68. <br /> <br />Along with Partial Pay Estimate No. 2 is Change Order No.1 in the amount of $5,478.67 for the <br />installation of steel conduit crossings for future lighting of the trees within the planting areas. <br /> <br />SOURCE OF FUNDS: <br />The improvements will be funded through TIF District 3-2 ($500,000) and the Infrastructure <br />Capital Improvement Fund, as per the City’s approved CIP. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve Change Order No. 1 and Partial Pay Request <br />No. 2 in the amount of $221,959.68. <br />
