Why is this occurring? <br /> <br />The City’s population is staying pretty much the same. The City is almost entirely built out so there isn’t <br />much more room to grow. The total per capita water demand is also staying pretty much the same. <br />Weather plays a role in the usage as dry seasons lead to more irrigation. Average daily demand is also <br />hovering around one million gallons per day and showing no real trend either way. Maximum daily <br />demand is not available based on the way we pump water. Overall, there is no real trend up or down. If <br />anything, it is trending down a bit and that is likely due to more awareness by residents and businesses <br />regarding water conservation.
