CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA
NOTES TO BASIC FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
DECEMBER 31, 2019

NOTE 18 ANTENNA LEASES
The City receives revenue from agreements for the lease of space above its water tower to two
communications companies. The space is used for antennas and other equipment (of the lessee)
necessary to provide radio communications. For accounting purposes, the leases are considered
operating leases. Lease revenue for the year ended December 31, 2019 totaled $112,218.

Future Lease Receipts Amounts
2020 $81,905
2021 85,181
2022 88,589
2023 61,749
2024 58,142

NOTE 19 SUBSEQUENT EVENT
Subsequent to year end, the World Health Organization declared the spread of Coronavirus Disease
(COVID-19) a worldwide pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic is having significant effects on global
markets, supply chains, businesses, and communities. Specific to the City of Little Canada, COVID-
19 may impact various parts of its 2020 operations and financial results including, but not limited to,
costs for emergency preparedness and shortages of personnel. Management believes the City of Little
Canada is taking appropriate actions to mitigate the negative impact. However, the full impact of
COVID-19 is unknown and cannot be reasonably estimated as these events occurred subsequent to year
end and are still developing. The City has assigned $60,000 in the General Fund for possible COVID-
19 budget impacts.

77
