CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOTES TO BASIC FINANCIAL STATEMENTS <br />DECEMBER 31, 2019 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />NOTE 18 ANTENNA LEASES <br />The City receives revenue from agreements for the lease of space above its water tower to two <br />communications companies. The space is used for antennas and other equipment (of the lessee) <br />necessary to provide radio communications. For accounting purposes, the leases are considered <br />operating leases. Lease revenue for the year ended December 31, 2019 totaled $112,218. <br /> <br />Future Lease Receipts Amounts <br />2020 $81,905 <br />2021 85,181 <br />2022 88,589 <br />2023 61,749 <br />2024 58,142 <br /> <br /> <br />NOTE 19 SUBSEQUENT EVENT <br />Subsequent to year end, the World Health Organization declared the spread of Coronavirus Disease <br />(COVID-19) a worldwide pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic is having significant effects on global <br />markets, supply chains, businesses, and communities. Specific to the City of Little Canada, COVID- <br />19 may impact various parts of its 2020 operations and financial results including, but not limited to, <br />costs for emergency preparedness and shortages of personnel. Management believes the City of Little <br />Canada is taking appropriate actions to mitigate the negative impact. However, the full impact of <br />COVID-19 is unknown and cannot be reasonably estimated as these events occurred subsequent to year <br />end and are still developing. The City has assigned $60,000 in the General Fund for possible COVID- <br />19 budget impacts. <br /> <br /> <br />77
