COVID-19 Preparedness Plan <br /> <br />Page 18 <br /> <br /> <br />Guidelines if employee or member of their household has been exposed to an individual diagnosed <br />with COVID‐19 <br /> <br />If the employee or member of their household is symptomatic: <br /> <br /> The employee should self-isolate and seek health advice to determine if medical <br />evaluation is necessary. <br /> The employee should follow the guidelines above for ‘How to Discontinue Self- <br />Isolation’ <br /> <br />If the employee or member of their household is not experiencing symptoms: <br /> <br /> If the employee is a “close contact” of someone who is infected, which is <br />defined as being within approximately 6 feet (2 meters) of a person with <br />COVID-19 for a prolonged period of time: <br /> The employee should remain at home and practice social distancing for 14 days <br />and follow CDC guidelines to discontinue self-isolation. <br /> If the employee is not considered a “close contact” of the individual exposed: <br /> The employee should continue to self-observe and practice social distancing. If <br />possible, the employee should work with their supervisor to set up an <br />alternative schedule or remote working arrangements for 14 days since their <br />last exposure. <br /> <br />If, during the 14 days the employee is self-monitoring, the employee becomes <br />symptomatic or is diagnosed with COVID-19, they will follow the appropriate guidelines.
