MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 9, 2003 <br />CANADA ROAD Road. The City Administrator noted that the City's policy has been to <br />proceed with acquisition of Round Lake properties as they become <br />available, and a number of properties have been acquired to date. It was <br />the Administrator's position that the property at 60 Little Canada Road <br />would not add much value to the park/open space area that the City is <br />trying to assemble on the north side of Round Lake. The reasons are that <br />acquisition funds are limited, 60 Little Canada Road is on the edge of the <br />area, and there are two properties in the center of this park area that would <br />add more value and thus have a higher priority <br />ACTION PLAN - <br />COMPLETION <br />OF TRAIL <br />SYSTEM <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-4-77-ACC'EPTING THE <br />RECOMMENDATION OF THE PARKS & RECREATION <br />COMMISSION TO NOT PROCEED WITH THE PURL'JIASE OF 60 <br />LIT11.,E CANADA ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by La Valle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Montour, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mayor Fahey noted that the Council held a workshop prior to the Council <br />meeting to review action plans related with completion of 2003 goals. At <br />that workshop, the consensus was to proceed with obtaining pricing for <br />completion of three trail segments in the City. Pricing would be obtained <br />via a change-order to the 2003 Improvement Projects bid, or by including <br />these projects as part of the Market Place Drive amenities bid. The cost of <br />these trail improvements would come from the Park Acquisition Fund. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the follm-ving resolution and moved its adoption: <br />REW)LUTION NO. 2003-4-78-INSTRUCTINCi CITY STAFF TO <br />OBTAIN CHANGE-ORDER PRICING AS PART OF THE 2003 <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT BID FOR COMPLETION OF THE <br />FOLLOWING TRAIL SEGMENTS: <br />JAC'KSON STREET TRAIL PROJECT; <br />DESOTO STREET 11Ull., PROJECT (PHASE ONE-FROlvJ <br />LABORE ROAD TO ALLAN AVENUE); <br />COUNTRY DRIVE/WATER WORKS TRAIL PROJECT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by La Valle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0).
