This letter serves as a formal declaration of the terms associated <br />with this offer. The City is offering a stipend of $1,500 for the completion of 100 hours of work <br />conducted over the summer months between the dates of June 18 and September 3, 2021. <br /> <br />Scope of Work: Internship tasks include, but are not limited to the following: <br />1. Zoning Code Update Research – Community Comparison (ADUs and Duplexes), Equity <br />in Zoning, Handouts for permits <br />2. Accessible and Equitable Transportation Initiative – Inventory of existing transit/bus <br />stops and develop a summary of potential enhancements or improvements to transit/bus <br />stops that may qualify for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. Coordination <br />with Metro-Transit and GIS intern for creation of shapefiles and maps, Photographs for <br />documentation. <br />3. Sustainability Initiatives – Research best practices, community comparison and gather <br />major themes, inventory of street lighting working with Xcel Energy to research energy <br />savings with LEDs, gain insight how City can adapt to green initiatives to enhance <br />existing conditions. <br />4. Presentation to City Council to culminate internship with findings <br /> <br />The initial date of employment will be __________, 2021.
