STAFF REPORT

TO: Mayor Keis and Members of the City Council

FROM: Heidi Heller, City Clerk

DATE: November 17, 2021

RE: Designate Polling Places for 2022

ACTION TO BE CONSIDERED:
Adopt the Resolution designating the Little Canada polling places for Precincts 1, 2 and 3 for
any 2022 elections.

BACKGROUND:
Laws of Minnesota 2017, Chapter 92 requires the governing body of each municipality to
designate the locations of its polling places for the following election year. The law does
permit changing polling place locations in the year of the election if the polling place authorized
by your governing body has become unavailable for use. If there are changes to Little Canada
polling locations after the redistricting process is complete in 2022, Council would be required
to re-designate the new polling places.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends Council adopt the Resolution designating the following polling places for
Precincts 1, 2 and 3 for the 2022 elections.

Precinct 1: Roseville Area Middle School
15 County Road B2 East, Little Canada, MN 55117

Precinct 2: Little Canada Elementary School
400 Eli Road, Little Canada, MN 55117

Precinct 3: Little Canada City Center
515 Little Canada Road East, Little Canada, MN 55117
