<br />priority, incorporate rope elements, play elements that have some height to them, and equipment <br />that could be built for a by a Community Build event. <br /> <br />Staff received a concept design from each vendor (attached). These designs were put into a <br />survey for the neighborhood to vote on. Also included in the survey were color pallet options for <br />the playground and two different styles of open-air picnic shelters for the neighborhood to vote <br />on. A flyer was created with a link to the survey that was distributed to all the residential <br />properties adjacent to the park and staff worked with the onsite management company to get <br />flyers distributed to all the residents of The Provinces Apartments. <br />Option #1 <br />Vendor: St. Croix Rec <br />Cost: $148,000 (community build available) <br />Primary Features: This design was developed specifically for Little Canada’s needs and to bring <br />joy and excitement to the children and families directly benefiting from the new playground. <br />The main feature is a Nucleus system that provides dynamic height to create a new experience <br />and to view the world from different angles. The design offers a lot of different areas for <br />dynamic movement utilizing slides, ropes, and spinners, swings. The design also includes an <br />accessible swing and the ability to add on more accessible ground units. <br />Total Play Events: 43+ <br />Maximum Play Event Height: 10 ft. <br />Option #2 <br />Vendor: Minnesota/Wisconsin Playground <br />Cost: Approx.$165,000 <br />Primary Features: The main feature of the design provides play activities that promote and <br />enhance physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development. The design also includes a six- <br />place swing with traditional swings, ADA swings, and Expression swings. <br />Total Play Events: 40+ <br />Maximum Play Height: 10 ft. <br /> <br />Option #3 <br />Vendor: Flagship Recreation <br />Cost: $150,571.73 (community build not provided in proposal) <br />Primary Features: Tree Tops is a three-tower system with integrated tall shades inspired by <br />natural ‘Tree Tops.’ This (new) non-traditional play system provides for multiple types of new <br />climbing and sliding experience including a new 8’ tall slide. This system provides great <br />challenges and tower connections enable great games to be played. This design also includes a <br />Cozy Dome (quiet small space attractive to those on the autism spectrum), an accessible 4 place <br />Wee-Saw and an accessible group (Oodle Swing), and Vibra chime musical (sensory) <br />instruments. <br />Total Play Events: 30+ <br />Maximum Play Event Height: 8 ft. <br />
