STAFF REPORT
TO:Parks & Recreation Commission
FROM:Bryce Shearen, Parks & Recreation/Community Services Manager
DATE:September 27, 2019
RE:CTV Neighborhood Network Program Consideration
ACTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED
The Parks & Recreation Commission is asked to consider recommending to the City Council a
Neighborhood Network program for 2020 of the Pioneer Park planning process.
BACKGROUND
The City’s contract with North Suburban Access Corporation (NSAC) a.k.a. CTV provides the
City with two Neighborhood Network productions a year. In 2019, those Neighborhood Network
productions were coverage of the inaugural 5K Sap Run event and the Spooner Park Community
Build. CTV is requesting that the City provide a request of the Neighborhood Network events that
the City would like production coverage on by October 31, 2019.
Staff will be presenting options to the City Council to approve at their next meeting. Staff would
like to suggest the Pioneer Park planning process be one of the Neighborhood Network programs.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Staff recommends a motion to recommend the Pioneer Park planning process as a CTV
Neighborhood Network program to the City Council to be considered as one of the two
Neighborhood Network programs for 2020.
