This would promote <br />much-needed mid-density housing as recommended in the comprehensive plan. <br />Another notable amendment that I propose in the residential zoning districts would be <br />this: allow two-unit residential buildings in the R-1 district as a conditional use; the <br />conditions would be that the building is located at the corner of a street intersection and <br />has a form that is generally compatible with the nearby one-unit residential buildings.
