Chapter 904: Residential Districts R-1, Low-Density Residential District <br /> <br />Page 904-4 <br />904.020 R-1, Low-Density Residential District 1 <br />A. Purpose 2 <br />The purpose of the R-1, Low-Density Residential District, is to allow single-family, 3 <br />detached houses at a density of up to approximately 4 houses per net acre (that is, not 4 <br />counting public streets and wetlands). 5 <br />B. Permitted Principal Uses 6 <br />1. Refer to Table 904-1. 7 <br />2. Some Permitted Uses have requirements that are presented in Chapter 914, Specific 8 <br />Development Requirements. Refer also to Chapter 915, General Development 9 <br />Requirements. 10 <br />C. Conditional Principal Uses 11 <br />1. Refer to Table 904-1. 12 <br />2. Refer to Chapter 914 for requirements that must be met for approval of some 13 <br />Conditional Uses. Refer also to Chapter 915, General Development Requirements. 14 <br />D. If two or more existing houses on the same side of the block have front setbacks other than the 25 <br />standard, the setbacks for the remaining lots on that side of the block shall be the average 26 <br />setback of the existing houses. 27 <br />3.
