Chapter 915: General Development Requirements <br /> <br /> Page 915-33 <br />(G) The structure to be moved must be either a Permitted or a Conditional Use in the relevant zoning <br />district. If a Conditional Use Permit is required, the appropriate application must be made to the <br />City. <br />(H) All required improvements and Building Code requirements shall be met before an occupancy <br />permit is granted. <br />915.200 Single Family Dwellings <br />Except in the R-4 Zoning District, all single family detached homes shall meet the following <br />requirements: <br />(A) All single family homes shall be constructed upon a continuous perimeter foundation that meets <br />the requirements of the State Uniform Building Code. <br />(B) All single family homes shall receive a building permit. The exterior architectural design of a <br />proposed dwelling may not be so at variance with, nor so similar to, the exterior architectural <br />design of any structure or structures already constructed or in the course of construction in the <br />immediate neighborhood, nor so at variance with the character of the surrounding neighborhood <br />as to cause a significant depreciation in the property values of the neighborhood or adversely <br />affect the public health, safety or general welfare. <br />(C) All single family homes shall meet the requirements of the State Uniform Building Code, as may <br />be applicable. <br />(D) All single family homes shall have a minimum roof overhang of one foot. <br />(E) All single family homes shall have an earth covered, composition, shingled, or tiled roof. <br />(F) With the exception of passageways, single family homes shall not be less than 30 feet in length <br />and not less than 24 feet in width over that entire minimum width. Width requirements shall not <br />take into account overhangs and other projections that extend beyond principal walls. <br />(G) Passageways used to connect dwelling components (either principal or accessory uses) shall meet <br />the following requirements: <br />(1) The passageway shall be secured upon a foundation that meets the requirements of the <br />Minnesota Uniform Building Code. <br />(2) The passageway shall be covered and constructed above ground. <br />915.210 Utilities, Private <br />(A) Lines <br />All private utilities serving new development, including lines for electricity, natural gas, <br />telephone and cable television, shall be located underground except for high-voltage electrical <br />lines. <br />(B) Sewage Systems, On-Site <br />The standards as found in Minnesota Pollution Control Agency's Standards for Sewage <br />Treatment (WPC-40) Minn. Rules Ch. 7080, Individual Sewage Treatment Systems Standards, <br />are hereby adopted by reference. <br /> <br />
