<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Date: 1 July 2021 <br />To: Members of the City of Little Canada Planning Commission <br />From: William Weber, Zoning Consultant <br />Subject: Chapter 918, Interpretation; Chapter 919, Definitions, <br />and Chapter 920, Enforcement <br />These are the final three chapters of the draft zoning code. <br /> <br />Chapter 918, titled Interpretation, Encroachments’ and Measurement, covers these <br />subjects, which are useful for the administration of the regulations: : <br /> General Rules for Interpretation <br /> Common District Requirements <br /> Lot and Parcel Controls <br /> Encroachments Allowed into Required Setback Areas <br /> Heights Limits and Exceptions <br /> Rules of Measurement <br />Note that the section on Encroachments’, page 5, there is a provision for front porches: <br /> A covered front porch or a covered front stoop, with a lateral enclosure of not more <br />than a balustrade, may encroach into the front yard by up to 6 feet. <br />Chapter 919, Definitions, defines terms that may not have clear dictionary definitions. Any <br />words not included are to be defined by the dictionary. <br />Chapter 920, Enforcement, provides a graduated approach to resolving violations of the <br />zoning code. This chapter has been reviewed by the City Clerk, Heidi Heller.
