In the 2020 General Election, Little Canada had 6,662 voters registered at 7AM on Election Day
and total number of persons who voted was 6,028. In 2020, precinct breakdown was:

Persons Registered Number of Person Voting
• Precinct 1 (Roseville Middle School) 2,397 2,163
• Precinct 2 (LC Elementary School) 2,526 2,295
• Precinct 3 (LC City Hall) 1,739 1,570

Municipalities do not have any requirements for the number of polling places or even numbers of
voters at each precinct. Cities determine the best number of polling places and the locations that
are manageable and meet the polling place facility requirements. If any city precincts would have
been split by a new legislative or congressional district boundary, then changes would have to be
made. Even though Little Canada is now in new legislative and congressional districts, the entire
city is with both new districts boundaries.

Staff recommends Council adopt the Resolution reestablishing the precinct boundaries and
polling places for Little Canada as they currently exist.

Precinct 1: Roseville Area Middle School
15 County Road B2 East, Little Canada, MN 55117

Precinct 2: Little Canada Elementary School
400 Eli Road, Little Canada, MN 55117

Precinct 3: Little Canada City Center
515 Little Canada Road East, Little Canada, MN 55117

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends adoption of a Resolution re-establishing the existing precincts and polling
places for Little Canada.
