MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 209 2022 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was convened on the 20th day of June, 2022 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the City <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Keis, Council Members Fischer, Miller, McGraw, and Torkelson. <br />Absent: None. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Chris Heineman, Community Development Director Corrin <br />Wendell, Public Works Director Bill Dircks, Finance Director Sam Magureanu and City Clerk/HR <br />Manager Heidi Heller. <br />MINUTES <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2022-6-78 — APPRO VING THE MINUTES OF THE JUNE 812022 <br />WORKSHOP AND JUNE 8, 2022 REGULAR MEETINGS AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The City Administrator introduced the new Finance Director, Sam Magureanu, who started on June 13, <br />2022. <br />Fischer reported that Little Canada resident, Barb Jordahl, spends a lot of time in Pioneer Park helping <br />keep the park clean, and he wants to thank her for all of the time she spends helping the community. <br />McGraw announced that NineNorth will be deciding on a finalist for the vacant Executive Director <br />position on Thursday. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />None. <br />PUBLIC HEARING — CONSIDER A VARIANCE FOR SETBACKS AND MINOR <br />SUBDIVISION AT 3250 SPRUCE STREET; APPLICANT: LAPHAM HICKEY <br />The Community Development Director stated The City has received a Variance and Minor <br />Subdivision (Lot Combination) application from Lapham-Hickey Steel at 3250 Spruce Street, who is <br />planning building addition to expand their production floor and add a new front office in order to be <br />able to increase the volume of their operations and add employees. She noted that due to the demand <br />for steel, fabrication has increased considerably in the metro area and Lapham-Hickey's current space <br />is inadequate in keeping pace. <br />
