MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 16, 2022 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was convened on the 16th day of November, 2022 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the City <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Keis, Council Members Miller, McGraw, Torkelson and Fischer. <br />Absent: None. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Chris Heineman, Parks & Rec/Community Services Director <br />Bryce Shearen, Public Works Director Bill Dirks, City Clerk/HR Manager Heidi Heller and <br />Community Development Director Corrin Wendell (via Zoom). <br />MINUTES <br />Torkelson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2 022-11-119 — APPR O VING THE MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 26, <br />2022 REGULAR MEETING AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Miller. <br />Ayes (5) Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />None. <br />CANVASS NOVEMBER 8, 2022 GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2022-11-120 — ADJOURN THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AND RECONVENE AS THE LITTLE CANADA CANVASSING BOARD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Torkelson. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />Keis opened the meeting of the Little Canada Canvassing Board. The City Clerk presented the <br />Council with the November 8, 2022 State General Election results. She noted that 4,174 residents <br />voted on Election Day and of those, 1,046 residents voted before November 8 either by Absentee <br />Ballot, early voting or were mailed ballots from overseas absentee voting or military personnel. She <br />stated that turnout was good at 63.7%, but it was lower than the 84% turnout during the 2020 General <br />Election. She reported that this is the first year of having Ramsey County run the city's elections and <br />she did not hear of any issues that occurred in Little Canada. <br />
