There is a question in regards to the possibility of completing the work from inside the units. Yes, some of <br />the work could be completed, but to fix the problem all of the work needs to be done in order to assemble a <br />complete drainage plain. We would be able to replace windows and doors, repair framing, remove insulation, <br />complete mold remediation and reassemble the interior of the unit. This would lengthen the duration of the <br />project considerably. In addition there would be an increased chance of dust inside the building and the tenants <br />would have to move out of the unit while the work is being done, If any owner would like to see what their unit <br />would look like if the work is attempted from inside they should look at the condemned unit that I toured as part <br />of my pre-bid analysis of the project. <br />On the exterior of the building the patches around every opening would be clearly visible. This <br />mismatched stucco would not only look terrible, it would allow for cracks to develop in the future where the old <br />and new stucco meet. It is also very difficult to establish a continuous drainage plain with the existing tar paper <br />and any new work around the doors and windows.
