STAFF REPORT

TO: Mayor Fischer and Members of the City Council

FROM: Eric Seaburg, P.E., City Engineer

DATE: April 26, 2023

RE: Tree Clearing – Twin Lake Boulevard Improvements
Pay Estimate No. 1 (FINAL)

ACTION TO BE CONSIDERED:
Motion to approve final payment to Precision Land & Tree Clearing, LLC in the amount of
$69,948.00.

BACKGROUND:
The Twin Lake Boulevard Improvement Project required the removal of approximately 120 trees
to accommodate the new road and trail improvements. As such, the City entered into a contract with
Precision Land & Tree Clearing to remove the trees in accordance with US Fish & Wildlife
recommendations. The work has been completed in accordance with desired the schedule and
specifications and the Contractor is now eligible for final payment in the amount of $69,948.00.

SOURCE OF FUNDS:
Tree clearing for the Twin Lake Boulevard project is being funded through a Cooperative
Agreement with the City of Vadnais Heights. The City’s share of funding for this work will
come from the Community Development Block Grant and State Aid funds.

STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS:
Staff recommends that the City Council approve Final Pay Estimate No. 1 in the amount of
$69,948.00.
