<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Fischer and Members of the City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Heidi Heller, City Clerk/HR Manager <br /> Don Smiley, Emergency Management Director/Fire Chief <br /> <br />DATE: August 9, 2023 <br /> <br />RE: Updated Ramsey County Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan <br /> <br /> <br />ACTION TO BE CONSIDERED <br />Approve the updated Ramsey County Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan (CEOP) has been updated in 2023 and <br />details all comprehensive emergency management efforts. It is designed to comply with all <br />applicable federal and state regulations and to provide the policies and procedures of which <br />agencies must adhere to when dealing with any emergency and/or disaster situation. The <br />CEOP identifies the hazards that may impact Ramsey County, as well as the cities, sets forth <br />the responsibilities of local government departments and agencies, and outlines a means for <br />local and state resources available to support impacted populations. <br /> <br />This plan supersedes all other emergency operations plans. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes <br />Chapter 12, this plan will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary by Ramsey County’s <br />Department of Emergency Management. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt the resolution approving the 2023 Ramsey County Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan. <br /> <br />
