STAFF REPORT <br />TO:Parks & Recreation Commission <br />FROM:Bryce Shearen, CPRP, Parks & Recreation/Community Services Director <br />DATE:December 1, 2023 <br />RE:2023 Parks & Recreation Commission Meetings <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to adopt the 2023 Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting schedule. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Parks & Recreation Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month. <br />Looking ahead at the meeting dates for 2023, staff would like the Commission to discuss the July <br />meeting date due to the proximity of the July Fourth Holiday. An alternate date for the July Parks <br />& Recreation Commission meeting could be July 13 at 6:30 p.m. if desired. Staff is also <br />proposing to cancel the August meeting due to the Ice Cream Social & Movie in the Park on that <br />date, and the other events that are happening that week. <br />Please review the attached 2023 schedule and calendar before the next meeting. Staff will send <br />out meeting requests once approved. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Review and approve the 2023 Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting schedule.
