F
Vadnais Heights, aN 55127
RE: Regulation of Twin Lake
Dear Gerry:
The City Council has asked me to contact you regarding the
possibility of a continued relationship to evaluate the joint
regulation of this lake area to minimize potentially serious
environmental consequences. Issues we feel need to be addressed
include boat traffic, vehicular access to the lake during ice
fishing season, litter control, and run-off.
Irrespective of any development options for the Mitchell
property, it would seem advantageous that our two cities should
work together to address these important issues. Ideally, this
process should commence as soon as possible in order that any
development which may occur in the area could be evaluated in
light of our joint regulations.
Therefore, I would ask that you present this matter to your
Council for consideration. If they agree that a cooperative
venture is appropriate, then I would suggest that you and I meet
to draft a process by which these goals can be accomplished.
Thank you for considering our request. Please let me know should
you have any comments or questions.
Sincerely,
oe R.
