For each one, please tell me if you
aenexally feel the City is too tough, about right, or not tough
enough in enforcing City Codes throughout the community on it....
49. J~in}c cars?
50. Messy yards?
51. weeds or tall grass?
52. Outside storage?
53. Loud noise?
54. Loose animals?
55. Parking?
56. Home-based businesses?
57. Would you favor or oppose burying all above ground utility
lines in Little Canada? (IF "FAVOR," ASK:) Would you still favor
burying above-ground utility lines if utility companies charged
residents for their relocation underground and also increased
utility rates to cover their oxpenses?
When the City of Little Canada reconstructs a damaged residential
street, owners of property abutting those sections of the street
are charged as assessment to cover the costs. Some people feel
that the property owners would pay for the entire cost of street
reconstxtiction since they receive the benefit of this service.
Others feel that the good condition of streets and roads is a
benefit to the entire community and should be paid for out of
general tax revenues.
58. How about you -- do you think that street reconstruction
should be funded through the assessment of property owners in the
area or should be funded by general property tax revenues?
On a related issue....
59. would you favor or oppose the construction of sidewalks on
all the major thoroughfares in the City? Do you feel strongly
that way?
60. Would you favor or oppase the construction of sidewalks on
all residential streets in the community? Do you feel strongly
that way?
Thinking about another topic....
61. Are there areas in Little Canada where you would not feel
safe walking alone at night?
IF "YE9," ASK:
62. Please tell me the areas in which you would not feel
safe.
4
Page 11
