<br />Public Hearing: <br />A Comprehensive Plan Amendment requires a Public Hearing and the City Council will open the <br />hearing at their October 11, 2023 meeting to take comment from the public. At that time, they will <br />consider the comments from the public. A public hearing notice was sent to the Pioneer Press for <br />publication. <br /> <br />Next Steps: <br />After the City Council approves the amendment, the City will submit the amendment to the <br />Metropolitan Council for administrative review and approval. The City has worked closely with <br />Metropolitan Council staff to ensure compliance with their policies and forecasting. However, the <br />Met Council has up to 60 days per State Statute to review proposed amendments. <br /> <br />Planning Commission: <br />At their September 14th meeting, the Planning Commission recommended approval to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Approve the resolution approving the Comprehensive Plan Amendment and authorizing staff to <br />submit the proposed amendment to the Metropolitan Council. <br />
