MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 22, 1999 <br />It was noted if the B-I District is established, and the McCumber and <br />Buetow properties are rezoned to B-I, the Comprehensive Plan should be <br />amended to reflect these changes. <br />Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 99-11-24I -CALLING FOR A PUBLIC <br />HEARING ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER I5, 1999 TO CONSIDER <br />THE REZONING OF THE B UETOW AND McCUMBER <br />PROPERTIES FROM I-1 TO B-I SUBJECT TO THE REVISION OF <br />THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO REFLECT THIS LAND USE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (1) LaValle. Resolution declared adopted. <br />Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 99-11-242 -CALLING FOR A PUBLIC <br />HEARING FOR WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER I5, 1999 TO <br />CONSIDER AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE <br />PLAN TO INCORPORATE THE B-I ZONING DISTRICT, IF <br />ADOPTED, AND REFLECT THIS LAND USE FOR THE <br />McCUMBER AND BUETOW PROPERTIES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (4) Fahey, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (1) LaValle. <br />FIRE RELIEF The Council reviewed the City Administrator's report dated November <br />BENEFIT 19, 1999 regarding the Fire Relief Association's request for a benefit <br />INCREASE level increase from 52,200 per year of service to $2,500. The <br />Administrator noted that this increase will exceed the targeted range of the <br />six-year funding plan that the City has with the Relief Association. <br />Therefore, the City has the option to re-open discussions on this plan. The <br />Administrator also noted that the increase does not require an increase in <br />the City's current funding Level of 518,000 per year. He also noted that if <br />the benefit level remained at 52,500 for 2001, no City contribution would <br />be required. <br />The City Administrator recommended that the increase be approved due to <br />the strong financial position of the Relief Fund and also recommended that <br />Page 75 <br />
