Hanson
As previously discussed at the October 27, 1999, Council Meeting, I have drafted an
interim use clause within the Public "P" District to allow by permit the specific use of
open and outdoor storage of a wood chip pile to a maximum height of fifteen (15) feet.
The wood chip pile is considered to be a service to our citizens and City Council and
have indicated they would support the continuation of this service to our citizens.
The interim use clause stipulates that this area will not be screened from the public
right-of-way or residential uses in this area to deter dumping of unwanted materials
(creating a public nuisance) as this location is not monitored and/or staffed by city
personnel. This use would sunset upon sale of the adjacent Public Works Property to
the North of this parcel. My recommendation for the interim use clause is attached.
Page 92
