Hansmi Marilyn Montreux, on behalf of Ann Trobec, is requesting an extension of the Planned Unit Development permit issued to allow an existing auto repair hobby use to continue on this property. One of the conditions Ms. Montreux is requesting would be to allow the permit to continue until such time the property is sold. I have included with this memo a copy of the City Planner's report from the previous extension granted. City staff would like to note that over the past two years since the permit was approved, the City has not received any complaints or been made aware of any violations with the permit conditions. It is the recommendation of city staff that the PUD Permit extension be approved subject to the same conditions as outlined in the City Planner's report dated April 4, 2008 except for Item #4. That condition recommends the permit be approved for a one year period. It is staff's recommendation that the permit be issued for a five year period with an annual review and inspection by city staff to ensure compliance with the permit conditions, or upon sale of the piopeity whichever is sooner. Staff also recommends that the PUD Permit may not be renewed or assigned to another tenant.
