<br />• Replacement appliances only; new construction and developments are ineligible <br />• Portion of cost must be paid by the property owner <br />• Funds are for rebates and grants only; consulting and staff time are ineligible <br />• Grant recipients must display the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment logo and <br />Metropolitan Council logo on program-related web pages and other communications <br /> <br />The city has designed the program to incorporate the criteria listed above and has built an <br />application process that is available online and at City Hall. This program is designed to be on a <br />first-come, first-served basis for the following items: <br />• Up to $200 for clothes washing machines, or 75% of project cost, whichever is less. <br />• Up to $200 for toilets, or 75% of project cost, whichever is less. <br />• Up to $200 for residential dishwashers, or 75% of project cost, whichever is less. <br />• Up to $200 for irrigation controllers, or 75% of project cost, whichever is less. <br />• Up to $200 for irrigation spray sprinkler bodies, or 75% of project cost, whichever is less. <br />• Up to $200 for a complete irrigation system audit, or 75% of project cost, whichever is <br />less. <br /> <br />The program will be advertised in the upcoming July-September newsletter, as well as on social <br />media and the website. Staff will follow all marketing requirements as outlined in the grant <br />agreement. <br /> <br />As part of the grant process, the City Council needs to approve a resolution authorizing the <br />execution of the agreement. Once authorized and signed, all materials will be submitted to the <br />Met Council. <br /> <br />BUDGET: <br />The city portion of $3,750 will be funded through the water fund. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN INITATIVE: <br />N/A <br /> <br />DEI INITIATIVE: <br />Through this reimbursement program, we’re enhancing access for residents who may otherwise <br />not be able to fund energy-efficient products. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends approving the resolution authorizing the execution of the agreement between <br />the city and the Metropolitan Council for the Metropolitan Council Clean Water Fund Grant <br />Program. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />• Attachment A: Notice of Award Letter <br />• Attachment B: Resolution <br />• Attachment C: Grant Agreement <br />
