<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Fischer and Members of the City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Eric Seaburg, P.E., City Engineer <br /> <br />DATE: July 10, 2024 <br /> <br />RE: Partial Payment #2 – 2024 Street Improvements <br /> <br /> <br />ACTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED: <br />Motion to approve Partial Pay Estimate No. 2 to Miller Excavating, Inc. in the amount of <br />$301,864.68. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The total amount earned by the Contractor on this partial pay request is $436,693.46. <br />Withholding a 5% retainage and previous payments, the amount due is $301,864.68. <br /> <br />SOURCE OF FUNDS: <br />Street and utility improvements will be funded through the City’s Infrastructure Capital <br />Improvement Fund 450, the Stormwater Utility Fund 603, and special assessments. Trail <br />improvements within Pioneer Park and Thunder Bay/Westwinds Park will be funded from the <br />Capital Fund 400 and Park Land Fund 456. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve payment in the amount of $301,864.68 to Miller <br />Excavating, Inc. <br />
