Box 2128 St. Paul, Minnesota 55109 October 7, 1976 Mr. Jack Welch 1690 West Highway 36 Suite 321 Roseville, Minnesota 55113 Dear Mr. Welch: At the regular meetings of September 16 and October 7, the Board reviewed the preliminary plat of that parcel located approximately in the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 8 on the southeast shore of Gervais Lake, also indicated as the "Gervais Shore Association" on drawings provided to the District. Specifi- cally reviewed was the drainage system which is proposed as part of the plat development. The District finds no objection to the proposed preliminary plat: Design of the storm sewer system should make every effort to prevent coarse sediments from reaching the lake and*the storm sewer outlets should be no higher than the normal lake elevation. Outlets.should be riprapped to reduce erosion and turbidity adjacent to the outlet. Storm sewer design should be referred to the District for review. The next step requiring District approval will be the site preparation and grading phase which will require a permit from the District since the land which will be disturbed will be greater than one acre in size. The application for that permit should include a site grading plan complete with a temporary erosion control facilities plan and a timetable for erosion control operations.
